Job Title: Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (In-Person)

Compensation: $75,000 – $150,000 per year (Commensurate with experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Firm We are a high-volume, fast-paced Workers’ Compensation law firm based in South Florida, dedicated to fiercely advocating for the rights of injured workers. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of a Senior Attorney, gaining the hands-on experience and mentorship needed to excel in all aspects of injury litigation.

The Role As an Associate Attorney, you will take hands-on ownership of the discovery process, client preparation, and daily litigation tasks. You will be instrumental in pushing cases toward successful resolutions through dedicated research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocacy & Representation: Prepare injured workers (claimants) for depositions and independently cover depositions (both claimant and physician). Represent clients at State Mediations, Zoom Hearings, and Private Settlement Mediations.
• Legal Drafting & Research: Draft and dictate essential legal documents, including Petitions for Benefits, Motions, and Responses. Conduct thorough legal research to prepare for Final Hearings (Trial) and settlements.
• Discovery Management: Drive the discovery process by drafting fact-specific production requests and reviewing complex medical documentation. Direct support staff in securing authorized medical physician records, IME reports, and MRI results.
• Client Relations: Conduct initial consultations with potential clients. Maintain exceptional client communication by returning calls and emails promptly, answering questions, and providing consistent case updates.
• Negotiation: Negotiate issue resolutions directly with opposing counsel to secure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active license in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of litigation experience. A strong background in Workers' Compensation or Personal Injury Law is highly preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, sharp analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Language: Bilingual proficiency is a strong plus.
