Our Kitchen team works together to serve thousands of guests every day with excellence and care. Ultimately as a kitchen team member, you will maintain a laser focus on the food and create a remarkable experience for every guest every time with safe, delicious food.As a Kitchen Team Member you will be responsible for:Food prep, cooking, and assembly of produce, raw, hot and cold breakfast, lunch, and dinner products, catering orders, and box mealsMaintaining a sparkling clean Kitchen and Back of HouseReceiving truck and maintaining inventory organizationFollowing LEAN processes and procedures for quality and inventory controlPerforming food safety and quality practices and measures including the SAFE Daily Critical and daily eRQACollaborating with team members and fulfilling our mission: Excellence every day & Care for everyoneAchieving annual and 90-Day Performance GoalsQualifications and SkillsA qualified candidate must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.A qualified candidate must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for brief and short distances.For part-time positions: consistent weekly availability between Monday-Saturday is preferred and the ability to work at least 20 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for part time status.For full-time positions: open availability between Monday-Saturday and the ability to work at least 35 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for full time status.Previous work experience is not required, but it is preferred. You will receive on the job training and development throughout your career with Chick-fil-A Harbor Blvd.Kitchen Team Member positions will be expected to regularly work four hour, six hour, or eight hour shifts, at various times within the various day parts of: morning (5:30am-2pm), afternoon (11am-7:30pm), or evening (3:30pm-12am), depending on the needs of the business and store performance goals.A prime candidate will have availability during two, three, or all of these day part times on a regular daily basis and will also have open weekend availability between Thursday - Saturday.As a Kitchen Team Member you will need to focus on the following areas in your daily performance:1. Provide Remarkable ServiceEffectively prep, cook, and assemble ordersFollow standards for proper presentation of ordersEnsure accuracy of ordersCommunicate effectively with the Front of House team about wait times and when to park carsKnow when and how to prioritize orders based on the needs of the order pipelineProper food quality and monitoringUphold organizational standardsMonitor and prevent waste by following proper LEAN procedures2. Maintain a Sparkling Clean and Safe EnvironmentEnsure clean and sanitized food contact surfaces before and after preparing food and at least every 4 hours for ongoing tasksEnsure a clean and inviting kitchen environment including walls, floors, floorboards, ceiling, hood vents and equipmentAlways be prepared for Internal or Health Department visits by following required food quality and safety process and procedures at all timesConsistently follow all food safety procedures and standards3. Chick-fil-A Brand & Product KnowledgeCorrectly prep, cook, and assemble all menu products per Chick-fil-A standardsProperly and safely use, clean, and maintain all equipment related to the kitchen and back of house4.
