Controller / CFO

Job responsibilities Oversee the preparation of local, state and federal tax filings Prepare Budgets and Report budget variances to executives Develop and maintain internal controls Help Manage cash flow Lead internal audits Assists owner with Job Costing and Billing. Coordinates insurance program for the company with insurance agents (General Liability Insurance, Workers Compensation and Health Insurance, etc.). Works with operations personnel (Project Managers, etc.) to see that jobs are properly accounted for and closed timely and invoiced. Assists outside CPA firm with preparation for annual Reviewed Financial Statements. Reconciles G/L accounts and bank accounts. Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations. Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports. Keep current on latest technology and help implement as needed. Delegates tasks and oversees accounting clerks. Qualifications/Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and highly organized. Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent critical thinking skills. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required unless CPA. At least 7 years’ experience of solid accrual basis accounting experience, including some Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations.
