P&C Underwriter - California

To support the growth of the HabPro program, the full-time P&C Underwriter - California will manage a portfolio of commercial real estate insurance, providing leadership and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Build and maintain a profitable portfolio of business in alignment with budget expectations Provide supervision, training, and guidance to the underwriting department in line with company values Engage in strategic discussions for expansion into new states and ensure effective communication on goal setting Required qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of property and casualty underwriting experience, particularly in binding authority and brokerage underwriting Experience in product development and territory expansion is strongly preferred Knowledge of additional property and casualty products is desired Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required P&C license is highly sought after and eligible for reimbursement if obtained upon hire
