Quality Control Manager

Job Description

Role Overview:

Insight Global's manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to monitor, maintain and control existing ISO 9001:2015 Certified Quality Management System. The Quality Manager shall effectively manage all aspects of the Quality Management System, including but not limited to, Corrective & Preventive Actions, Quality Audits, Quality Inspections, Employee Training, Measurement, analysis and improvement, Document Control, Product Realization and all other functional elements of the Quality System.

D2D:

ISO 9001 Knowledge: Understanding the ISO 9001 standard and its application in quality management systems.

Quality Management Systems: Proficiency in implementing and maintaining quality management systems.

Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Collaboration: Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead and mentor the quality assurance team (3-5 members).

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate quality data and identify trends.

Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.

Customer Focus: Understanding customer needs and ensuring product conformity.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify quality issues, root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of quality control activities and audit results.

Training and Competence: Regular training on ISO 9001 standards and relevant quality management practices.

Skills and Requirements

Strong proficiency and experience with ISO 9001:2015 required.

Individual must know all elements of the standard thoroughly.

Manufacturing industry experience.

Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS).

3-5+ years of experience running a quality department under ISO guidelines.

Proficiency with internal and external audit planning and management.

Strong skills in continuous improvement, data analysis, and reporting.

Cross functional communication skills.

Comfortable interacting with teams of engineers, production, accounting, vendors, and related personnel.

Comfortable overseeing a team of 3-5 quality admins and inspectors.

Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Access.

Strong professionalism and work ethic. Understanding of working with federal/defense clients

ISO 9001 Certification.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
