Role Description The Billing Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Louisville Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end billing process, including preparing, reviewing, and issuing invoices for waste and recycling services. The Billing Specialist will ensure accurate client billing, reconcile billing discrepancies, and collaborate with team members to resolve issues promptly. Day‑to‑day tasks include maintaining up‑to‑date billing records, coordinating with accounting to support month‑end closing, and responding to internal and external billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner. The person in this role will also assist with process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with sustainability‑focused service offerings. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Billing Process and Client Billing to manage end‑to‑end billing activities accurately. Candidates should possess skills in Invoicing to prepare, review, and issue timely and compliant customer invoices. Candidates should possess skills in Accounting to support reconciliation, reporting, and coordination with finance operations. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and respond clearly to client inquiries. Relevant experience in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations, ideally in services or sustainability‑focused industries. Ability to work on‑site in the Louisville Metropolitan Area, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail. Proficiency with billing or ERP systems and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, and document tools).
