Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Step Down Unit Duration: Contract Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS Description: Join our team as a registered nurse in a medical step down unit. The unit has 16 to 20 beds with a patient-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. You will care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and certifications in ACLS and BLS.
