Primary Duties Serve as the initial contact person at the medical practice or hospital department and greet patients in a courteous and professional manner. Manage the intake of patients into the practice, screen for emergent conditions, register, verify, and explain patient responsibility for payment. Perform check‑in and check‑out procedures by inputting patient charges and verifying demographic and insurance information. Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned. Support organization initiatives related to new technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience. Qualifications 6 months to 1 year of providing high quality customer service required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Working knowledge of IDX/GE Centricity business preferred.
