Cybersecurity Assessment Engineer

To support a dynamic team, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Assessment Engineer will oversee software vulnerability scanning processes, conduct security assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure compliance with security standards Review vulnerability scan results and provide actionable remediation guidance to development teams Collaborate with the Principal Security Engineer and other teams to assist with incident response plans and maintain security documentation Required qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or related fields Intermediate knowledge of DevSecOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Proficient understanding of NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 security controls Secret Level Clearance or ability to obtain it Ability to attain DOD 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT II within 6 months of hire date
