What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for adult hematology/oncology patients, including those with acute leukemia
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry, and respond to rapid response alerts
• Assist with infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC charting system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license or ability to obtain one
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemo Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of general nursing experience; inpatient hematology/oncology experience preferred
• Proficiency with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and blood product administration
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills

About the Assignment

Join a dedicated team serving adult and geriatric patients with complex hematology diagnoses in a high-acuity medical unit. This role involves managing blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes, with staffing ratios aiming for 1:4 or 1:5. The schedule is flexible, with the possibility of day/night shifts during the rotation, and a comprehensive orientation to support your success.
