Operations Associate

Position: Operations Associate (Part-Time)

Location: In-office 4 days/week + Fridays remote

Schedule: ~20 hours/week (with opportunity to grow into full-time)

Compensation: $25,000–$35,000 annually (prorated based on hours)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our growing energy consulting firm. This role works directly under the Director of Operations and is critical to ensuring our internal processes run efficiently and our client deliverables stay on track. Strong Excel skills are essential, since much of the work involves managing and maintaining data in spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

• Assist with day-to-day operational workflows and internal processes 
• Coordinate with vendors and internal team members to track deal and project progress 
• Help manage timelines and ensure tasks are moving forward 

Data Entry & Management

• Input and maintain accurate client, contract, and pricing data in Excel, including spreadsheets with multiple tabs and formulas
• Ensure all internal systems are organized and up to date 
• Identify missing information and follow up internally to resolve 

Client & Project Coordination

• Assist with onboarding new accounts and collecting required documentation 
• Support ongoing client-related tasks and internal follow-ups 
• Help ensure a smooth execution from deal intake through completion 

Administrative & Process Support

• Assist the Director of Operations with ad hoc projects 
• Help improve and streamline internal workflows as we scale 

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data organization across multiple sheets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, reliable, and able to take ownership of tasks 

Nice to Have:

• Experience in operations, admin, or data-related roles 
• Familiarity with CRM or project management tools
