The Opportunity Mainspring Recovery is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to leadits ASAM 2.5 partial hospitalization and ASAM 3.1 clinically managed,low-intensity residential services in Dumfries, Virginia. This on-siteleadership position is responsible for ensuring consistent, coordinated, andevidence-based care across both levels of treatment. The Clinical Director will oversee daily clinical operations, superviselicensed and associate-level clinicians, strengthen treatment programming, andensure compliance with ASAM criteria, Virginia DBHDS regulations, CARFstandards, payer requirements, and applicable laws. This position reports tothe Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. What You'll Do Lead daily clinical operationsacross the ASAM 2.5 partial hospitalization and ASAM 3.1 residentialprograms Promote consistency, effectivetransitions, and continuity of care between the two levels of service Provide clinical supervision andoversight to licensed and associate-level clinical staff in accordancewith Virginia board requirements Ensure clinical programming,documentation, and services align with ASAM criteria, DBHDS regulations,CARF standards, payer expectations, and medical necessity requirements Oversee the development,implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinicalprogramming and treatment services Review clinical documentation forquality, accuracy, compliance, medical necessity, and appropriateness ofcare Provide leadership, mentorship,training, and performance management to members of the clinical team Collaborate with Medical,Nursing, Operations, Admissions, Utilization Review, and executiveleadership to support placement decisions, continuity of care, andpositive client outcomes Participate in treatmentplanning, case consultation, crisis intervention, discharge planning, andutilization management as needed Support audits, investigations,corrective action plans, accreditation activities, and regulatoryreadiness initiatives Maintain awareness of evolvingbehavioral health regulations, payer requirements, and clinical bestpractices Foster a clinical culturegrounded in accountability, collaboration, professional development,trauma-informed care, and ethical practice Requirements What You Bring Master's degree in Social Work,Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required Active, independent clinicallicense in Virginia required, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or an equivalentcredential Qualification to provideboard-approved supervision to associate-level clinicians required Minimum of 5 years of clinicalexperience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment Minimum of 2 years of leadershipor supervisory experience preferred Experience working acrossresidential and outpatient treatment settings, including ASAM 2.5 and ASAM3.1 services Strong knowledge of substance usedisorder treatment, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, crisisintervention, and evidence-based practices Understanding of Virginia DBHDSregulations, CARF standards, clinical documentation requirements, andmedical necessity criteria Experience with Medicaid-fundedservices, utilization review, accreditation standards, and state licensingrequirements preferred Excellent leadership,communication, conflict-resolution, organizational, and team-developmentskills Proficiency with electronichealth records and clinical documentation systems Ability to manage multiplepriorities while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintainprofessionalism, confidentiality, sound clinical judgment, and ethicalstandards CPR and First Aid certificationpreferred Compensation and Schedule Salary: $125,000 to $135,000annually, commensurate with experience Schedule: Full-time | On-site | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Flexibility may be required basedon operational needs, including occasional evening, weekend, or on-callresponsibilities Competitive compensation Opportunity to shape clinicalprogramming across two connected levels of care within a growing,mission-driven behavioral health organization 401(k) with company match Company contribution towardmedical benefits Pre-Employment Requirements Mainspring conducts, as required, job-related background checks, drugtesting, TB testing, verification of employment history, and/or referencechecks prior to employment.
