Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related field License: Active state license required, pending licenses accepted Certifications: BLS preferred; ACLS preferred but not required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: 27-bed General Medicine Unit. Clinicians on this unit enjoy caring for a variety of disease processes that involve the respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal systems. Available shifts can offer 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend shift is required. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Healthcare providers can submit with pending licenses. Candidates must adhere to the float policy. Candidates are required to have experience with Epic charting system. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. Patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Nurse-driven procedures include heparin infusions, insulin drips, telemetry, and nurse-driven flu vaccinations. Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, and wound care.
