Senior Accountant

Client: Renewable Energy Organization Role: Senior Accountant Salary: $100,000 - $110,000/annually + Bonus & Benefits Location: Rockville, Maryland (*5 days a week onsite*) Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Ledger Management IFRS Compliance: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial statements ensuring full adherence to IFRS standards. NetSuite Administration: Manage the IFRS secondary ledger in Oracle NetSuite, including the preparation and posting of specialized journal entries. General Ledger Integrity: Execute rigorous monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes; perform account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy. Technical Accounting & Special Topics Revenue Recognition: Support complex revenue streams, including long-term service contracts. Complex Transactions: Analyze and document the accounting treatment for leases, joint ventures, and project financing, ensuring alignment between IFRS and GAAP. Audit & Documentation: Author technical accounting memos and serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors. Strategic Collaboration & Compliance Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a financial liaison to the FP&A, Structured Finance, and Operations teams to streamline reporting accuracy. Regulatory Monitoring: Stay at the forefront of IFRS standard updates, assessing and communicating potential impacts on company financials. Internal Controls: Support the development and maintenance of robust internal control frameworks and compliance initiatives.
