Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting high school students in a specialized educational program designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences. The Compass High Program provides a unique, supportive environment focused on building independence and life skills outside traditional classroom settings. This assignment is scheduled to begin in late August 2026 and run through late June 2027, aligned with the academic calendar.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have current state licensure and be in good standing as an SLPA or SLP-CF, according to state-specific requirements
• Demonstrated experience working within school-based settings, particularly high school populations
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
• Commitment to serving diverse learners, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with related learning differences
• Effective collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy and support under the supervision of experienced SLPs
• Implement individualized communication plans with a focus on fostering independence and functional skills
• Incorporate AAC devices and adaptive methods to encourage student engagement and progress
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP process, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Communicate proactively with educational staff and families to ensure consistent support for each student
