Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This assignment places you within the Compass High Program, located at Ludlow High School, focused on fostering independence for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences in a highly personalized setting.

Spanning the 2026-2027 school year, this contract role runs from August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027 (exact calendar dates may be confirmed later), with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule averaging 32.5 hours per week.

Desired Background & Skills

• Valid state licensure or certification as an SLPA or eligibility as an SLP-CF, per Massachusetts regulations
• Demonstrated proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
• Prefer experience in a school-based or specialized education environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive student relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop and implement creative, individualized communication strategies

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech and language services to high school students with ASD and related learning differences
• Integrate AAC technologies and other assistive tools to enhance communication opportunities
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
• Engage with educators, families, and related service staff to coordinate student-centered interventions
• Participate in ongoing team meetings and professional development
