About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its international, professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence and diversity in death education, care of the dying, and grief counseling. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and supporting leadership, coordinating event planning and management, and maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization. This role requires a transparent and high-integrity leader with excellent experience in event planning, membership, and meeting software. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and membership to ensure that all functions and services are in line with the company's mission and will be expected to have a successful track record in nonprofit management, including fundraising and membership growth. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Master's degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for those holding the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' of senior nonprofit management experience and a proven ability to work with a volunteer Board of Directors. Key qualifications include the ability to oversee the implementation of programs, support committees and volunteers, and manage all financial aspects of the organization. The role is remote and requires a leader who can effectively represent the company and ensure that its mission is fulfilled through strategic planning and community outreach. The Executive Director will also be responsible for leading and managing staff and contractors, and must have a strong desire to support the membership of the organization.
