Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Hybrid — 2–3 days on-site per week, with flexibility on which days

Contract: 3 months initially, with a strong possibility of extension and/or conversion

Pay: $30–$34/hour W2 ONLY

About the Role

We’re looking for an Assistant Matter Mobility Reviewer to support a legal team with the review and management of physical and electronic client files related to outgoing matter transfers.

This role is more than simply checking or processing documents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing information, identifying discrepancies or potential issues, applying established guidelines, and using sound judgment when reviewing files.

You’ll work closely with paralegals and the Information Governance team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a paralegal, legal support, or document review background who enjoys digging into information, asking questions, and understanding the bigger picture behind the work.

What You'll Do

• Review physical and electronic client files related to outgoing matter transfers.
• Analyze documents and information to identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential issues.
• Apply firm guidelines and established procedures consistently when reviewing files.
• Track assigned workstreams and ensure reviews are completed accurately and on time.
• Escalate questions or file-related concerns to the supervising paralegal when appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Information Governance team to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Handle confidential and sensitive client information with a high level of discretion.
• Use eDiscovery and other document-management tools to support the review process.
• Assist with additional projects and tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring a combination of legal document review experience, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good judgment.

We're particularly interested in candidates who:

• 3-5 years of previous experience reviewing legal, compliance, or client-related documents and have worked as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal support professional, or in a similar role .
• Can interpret information and identify issues rather than simply verify data.
• Are comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information.
• Ask thoughtful questions when they need clarification and are genuinely curious about the work.
• Can prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
• Are proactive and willing to take initiative rather than waiting for constant direction.
• Can adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and guidelines.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience That Would Be Helpful

• Law firm experience, particularly within a larger or multi-office firm.
• Previous document review or eDiscovery experience.
• Familiarity with client file management systems.
• Experience working with legal terminology and procedures.
• Exposure to intellectual property, trademark, or other legal documentation is a plus, but not required .
• Experience working with Microsoft Office, network file shares, scanners, and other document-management tools.

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate is someone who combines accuracy with initiative . Rather than simply moving files through a process, you'll be expected to look closely at the information, recognize when something doesn't look right, ask questions, and follow established guidelines to make sound decisions.

Strong candidates are also comfortable with some ambiguity and know when to seek clarification. You'll receive training and established guidelines, but we’re looking for someone who can become self-sufficient and manage their workload with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

• Hybrid work environment with 2–3 days onsite in Seattle .
• Specific onsite days are flexible.
• Standard business hours are generally between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM , with some flexibility based on project deadlines.
• Work may involve both electronic and physical files.
• Ability to lift and move file boxes weighing up to approximately 35 pounds is required.

• Candidates who have experience in larger law firms or complex legal environments may be able to ramp up quickly.
