Job Summary The Laundry Lounge is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundromat Attendant to join The Laundry Lounge team! An ideal candidate is a professional, self-starter who brings positive energy and a proactive, can‑do attitude to every situation. This role focuses on processing Wash Dry Fold orders with a high standard of care and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will also assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers using the washers and dryers and self‑serve pet wash. About The Laundry Lounge The Laundry Lounge delivers clean laundry and good vibes in every load. We proudly serve the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach communities and strive to make laundry day a breeze. We offer Self‑Service, Wash Dry Fold and Commercial laundry services to families and businesses in Gulf Shores and surrounding areas. We offer brand new, high efficiency washers and dryers in a comfortable, clean environment for laundry day. The Laundromutt, conveniently connected to The Laundry Lounge, provides a self‑service dog washing station where pet owners can easily bathe their furry companions. Wash Dry Fold Services Intake customer drop‑off orders, enter and update orders into the Point of Sale system, and receive customer payments. Accurately sort customer laundry by colour, fabric type, and washing instructions. Operate washers and dryers efficiently, using the correct detergent, fabric softener, and temperature settings. Fold laundry and package it in accordance with company standards. Ensure timely completion of customer orders. Inspect items for damage or special handling requirements and communicate issues to customers or management as needed. Customer Service Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude. Assist customers with getting laundry in and out of the laundromat as needed and guiding customers to the appropriate sized machines for their needs. Assist customers with questions about machines, vending products, or services. Address customer concerns and elevate issues to management when necessary. Facility Maintenance Keep all areas of the laundromat and self‑serve pet wash area clean, organized, and safe. Wipe down and sanitize washers, dryers, pet washes, folding tables, and other high‑touch surfaces regularly. Replenish vending machines with snacks, drinks, and detergent as needed. Empty lint traps in dryers and perform light maintenance duties. Sweep and mop floors, clean the bathroom and empty out trash cans. Other Duties Monitor the laundromat during shifts to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to company policies, including safety procedures and employee conduct standards. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management. Additional Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a retail, customer service or laundry‑related role is a plus but not required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with technology. Strong sense of honesty and integrity. Able to effectively manage time. Works well with others. Excellent customer service skills. Hard working & dependable.
