The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Stewarding Supervisor to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $35.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Stewarding Supervisor, you would be responsible for supervising utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and serviceware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise, support and monitor utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and serviceware for restaurant service
• Supervise cleaning of work area and physical surroundings
• Maintain and deliver proper inventory for food and beverage departments
• Ensure all food and equipment are delivered on time to all functions as specified
• Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members
• Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Extensive cleaning and dishwashing knowledge
