Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff; supervise assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional judgment.
- Develop and revise individualized care plans; coordinate conferences with health team members, patients, and families to optimize outcomes.
- Direct and monitor nursing staff performance during patient care activities; participate in patient care as needed to ensure safety and quality.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, introduce yourself to patients and families, and solicit feedback on nursing services and care delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience and staff engagement; participate in quality improvement initiatives and system changes to enhance outcomes and satisfaction.
- Foster an environment of patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual needs; collaborate with leadership to improve customer satisfaction and care continuity.

Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in California (active).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Certifications: BLS required; NRP required; ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within the last 2 years required; Fetal Heart Monitoring required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience; at least 2 years of supervisory or charge nurse experience required.
- Clinical/technical: EPIC electronic health record experience required.
- Special qualifications: Night shift availability; ability to work in a high-acuity acute care environment; no on-call required.
