Audiovisual Systems Designer

PSX is hiring an Audiovisual Systems Designer. We are looking for a detail-oriented AV design professional to support the planning, documentation, and coordination of audiovisual systems for innovative corporate campuses, state‑of‑the‑art educational facilities, premier entertainment venues, and high‑profile commercial projects. In this role, you will help translate client needs into functional AV designs, create and update technical drawings and 3D models, and collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and internal design teams. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical drafting, problem‑solving, and project coordination in a fast‑paced design environment. What You’ll Do Lead AV design efforts for projects. Participate in weekly project meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Translate client and stakeholder needs into practical, functional AV system designs. Review design documents, specifications, and client requirements for accuracy and compliance. Develop and update technical drawings, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, single‑line diagrams, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and related BIM/CAD tools. Maintain project documentation and manage revisions throughout the design and construction process. Support senior designers and engineers with drafting, modeling, and coordination tasks. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in engineering, audiovisual technology, or a related field. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM/CAD software. Foundational knowledge of AV hardware, software, and system design principles. CTS certification preferred; candidates who are not currently certified must be willing to obtain certification. Strong understanding of construction and architectural principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities. Experience with BIM coordination is preferred. This role is primarily office‑based (or remote), with occasional project site visits as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, supporting concurrent projects, and meeting deadlines in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment. Why Join PSX?
