Switchboard OperatorWe are seeking a Switchboard Operator to provide efficient and courteous support by answering and directing calls and inquiries to the appropriate individuals or departments, while also supporting general administrative and front-desk activities.As part of the Miller Electric Customer Service team, you become an important part of how people build, repair, and create to make this a better, brighter world. This role will provide a rewarding work environment where you will create a positive experience for our customers through problem solving and fulfilling their needs.If you have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a passion for delivering a best-in-class customer experience, then this might be the job for you!The location for this position is Appleton, WI.Essential Functions:Route ~400 calls per day to the appropriate individuals within the organization.Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.Manage web inquiry questions from customers and route to the correct individuals within the organization.Review and respond to time sensitive communications such as social media responses, emails, etc.Work well within the customer support team to identify improvement projects, scheduling rotation, vacations, and share information learned from internal divisions and customers.Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of two years of experience working in a customer service environment is preferred.Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through experiences, exposure, and ongoing training an/or education.Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.Experience with computerized phone system knowledge preferred, with the ability and willingness to learn new software and technology.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Email systems such as Outlook with a high level of comfort in moving between multiple information systems.Ability to make sound customer-oriented decisions in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to compose professional emails.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
