Registered Nurse Emergency Nursing

Schedule: Nights

Assignment Details: Holiday coverage required.

Requirements

• Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current STABLE certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessments to optimize outcomes.
• Utilize prioritization and critical thinking skills to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and their families, providing appropriate education.
• Delegate patient care tasks effectively and precept student nurses and new hires as needed.
• Maintain compliance with professional and ethical standards, fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
