Director Growth & Commercial Strategy

Position Summary The Director Growth & Commercial Strategy plays a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing Newrez’s enterprise growth agenda. Partnering closely with the SVP, Head of Growth & Commercial Strategy, this leader drives strategic planning, identifies and prioritizes high‑impact growth opportunities across products, partnerships, and channels, and owns the development of associated business cases and execution roadmaps to deliver on prioritized opportunities. Description Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Strategy Planning & Growth Leadership Lead development of enterprise‑wide growth strategy, including market sizing, competitive intelligence, and opportunity prioritization across products, segments, and channels. Own and update Total Addressable Market (TAM), demand forecasting, and growth models to guide strategic planning and capital allocation. Identify, evaluate, and champion new growth vectors across core and adjacent markets. Partner with executive leadership to shape long‑term strategic priorities and roadmap sequencing. Business Case Development & Financial Leadership Lead development of financial models and business cases supporting strategic initiatives, investments, and partnerships. Drive evaluation of opportunities through ROI, payback, risk‑adjusted returns, and scenario analysis. Translate complex analytical insights into clear, executive‑ready recommendations that influence decision‑making. Establish modeling standards, best practices, and analytical rigor across the strategy function. Customer Experience, Digital & Partnership Strategy Define and maintain a strategic initiative roadmap aligned with enterprise growth objectives. Lead market assessments, diligence, and evaluation of strategic partnerships and ecosystem opportunities. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Digital, Marketing, and Technology teams to align customer experience enhancements with growth strategy. Evaluate emerging trends, competitive threats, and innovation opportunities. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Executive Advisory Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders across Finance, Product, Marketing, Technology, and Analytics. Lead development of materials for Executive Leadership and Board discussions, including investment cases, strategic updates, and performance insights. Drive cross‑functional alignment on strategic initiatives, priorities, and resource allocation. Influence organizational decision‑making through data‑driven insights and structured problem solving. M&A & Strategic Transactions Lead strategic and financial diligence for M&A and investment opportunities, including market analysis, synergy modeling, and value creation assessments. Support integration planning and post‑transaction value realization strategies. Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, and business leaders on transaction evaluation and execution. Team Leadership & Talent Development Coach, mentor, and develop junior analysts and team members, fostering strong analytical, financial modeling, and strategic thinking capabilities. Provide guidance on model structuring, analytical frameworks, and problem‑solving approaches. Establish a culture of intellectual rigor, curiosity, and business impact. Support development of scalable analytical tools, methodologies, and knowledge assets. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree, preferred. 8+ years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or similar analytical roles in financial services. Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and influencing executive decision‑making. Key Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to structure problems and draw insights from data. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to distill complex topics for executive audiences. Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization. Self‑starter with intellectual curiosity and a bias toward action. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with the capacity to handle multiple, complex, and competing priorities/projects. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SQL, Tableau, or Power BI a plus. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Working on‑site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures. All employees are required to have smartphones that meet Company security standards with the ability to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator. Compensation Estimated salary range: $119,600.00 – $219,120.00. Compensation may also include medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
