Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients in either an inpatient or outpatient environment and develop personalized treatment strategies
• Implement physical therapy techniques aiming to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Engage in teamwork with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Inform patients and their families about treatment objectives, discharge plans, and home exercise protocols
• Document patient evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and progress following facility and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to ensure cohesive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State license required to practice as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred CPR certification
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not essential

Skills

• Prior experience is strongly preferred
