Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students with a variety of special needs, establishing the foundation for effective treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on addressing mental health issues, fostering emotional well-being, and promoting successful integration into the school environment.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance personal growth, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to conditions such as ASD, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma responses.

• Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in high-stress situations, remaining calm and effective during mental health emergencies.

• Engage families by providing psychoeducation on mental health conditions and accessible resources, fostering a better understanding of the challenges their children may face.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and staff development activities to enhance community learning and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students who require mental health support due to a wide array of special educational needs. This may include children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, as well as those who have experienced trauma. The role requires a keen understanding of their unique challenges and strengths to foster a positive and empowering therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid LCSW license in New York State is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
