• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (cardiac surgeon or thoracic surgeon)
• Active state medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• DEA license required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiothoracic surgery experience (cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery)
• Fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
• Ability to participate reliably in a 1:3 call rotation and provide beeper/paging coverage

• Provide beeper/paging call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery as the locum tenens surgeon
• Perform cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including:
  • On-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Valvular repair and replacement (aortic, mitral, etc.)
  • Cardiac aneurysm repair
  • Insertion and management of central and arterial lines, pulmonary artery (PA) catheter, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Evaluate and manage acute hemodynamic/volume issues and surgical emergencies
• Collaborate with ICU, anesthesia, perfusion, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

• Experience with ventilator management and bronchoscopy (preferred)
• Experience with lung resection, chest wall, and pleural procedures (preferred)
• Strong triage and acute care decision-making skills for trauma and emergency cases
