Medical Assistant OpportunityPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Everett, WA (98201). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Specific Duties:Room patients, obtain vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document findings in the EMR.Record medical history, chief complaints, and update patient health information.Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.Administer medications and injections using proper aseptic techniques.Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection; maintain specimen logs.Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and hospital pre-admissions.Process patient messages, medication refill requests, and follow-up communications.Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and infection control standards.Monitor clinic logs, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, and sterilization records.Ensure accurate EMR documentation and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic protocols.Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and other assigned duties.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of preferred experienceHigh school graduate or GED equivalentCurrent, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certificationCurrent BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or theProven good communication and customer service skillsWhat Skills/Attributes Are Nice To Have, And Will Set A Candidate Apart?Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skillsKnowledge of medical terminology requiredThe ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is requiredGood communication and customer service skills requiredAt least one year of experience as a Medical AssistantAdditional Information:Location: Everett, WA (98201).Job Type: 3+ months contract to hireSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pmOffice Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pmPay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment Opportunity Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
