Employee Relations Specialist
MAXIMUS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage moderately complex workplace Investigations assigned, partnering with internal stakeholders including but not limited to HR Business Partners, Legal, HR Compliance, and drafting comprehensive investigative reports.- Provide guidance and recommendations to people managers on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to performance management, involuntary terminations, conflict resolution, policy and procedure interpretation, escalating more complex matters to the senior ER Partner or ER leadership
- Monitor ER entry point for manager and employee guidance requests via people services portal, escalating complex matters to the Sr. ER Partner queue in the instance of complex resolution.
- Possess working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant legislation.
- Recommend appropriate courses of action to resolve conflicts and issues effectively and consistently across the organization, creating and monitoring aftercare plans through completion
- Assist with various projects and programs within the ER division
- Appropriately assess risk, demonstrating consideration of Maximus's values by applying sound ethical judgment, escalating, managing and reporting issues timely and appropriately. Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years HR-related experience required.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of human capital practices, techniques, and standards.
- Requires good judgment, organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel required and experience with case management systems preferred.
- Demonstrate the skills to evaluate facts, deliver findings and recommendations on sensitive cases through clear communication .
- Exceptional attention to detail when it comes to documentation, process execution, and follow up.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
