• Duration: Ongoing, with 10-14 days per month
• Shift: 6am-6pm in facility, 6pm-6am on-call (24-hour coverage)
• Hours/Week: 40
• Employment Type: Contract
• Licensure/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology, NRP Certified; experience with intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusions, thermal cooling, ventilator management (oscillators, iNO)
• Experience: Preferred 3+ years in Neonatal ICU

What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
• Manage respiratory support, including ventilators and inhaled nitric oxide
• Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and line insertions
• Stabilize surgical and non-surgical neonates for transport
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff
• Document patient care in Cerner electronic health record system
• Participate in on-call rotations providing specialized neonatal coverage

What You Need
Required:

• Valid NP license in Michigan
• Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology
• NRP certification
• Minimum 3 years NICU experience
• Proficiency in neonatal procedures (intubation, line placement, etc.)

Preferred:

• Experience with ventilator management and complex neonatal cases
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

This opportunity is based at a well-established NICU with a team of experienced RNs and RTs supporting complex neonatal cases, including respiratory distress syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, sepsis, seizures, and VLBW infants.
