Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Unit

Position Overview UP Health System – Marquette Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Unit (Full‑time, 0.9 FTE). Hours: 12‑hour varied (night/day) shifts with weekend and holiday rotations. Sign‑on bonus $7,500 (based on meeting eligibility requirements). Responsibilities Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Qualifications State of Michigan RN license. Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred). Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.
