Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New Castle, DE

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic role designed for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference in an elementary school setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with mild to moderate inclusion caseloads, supporting approximately 40-45 students in their communication development. The environment values fresh perspectives, making this an ideal placement for a newer SLP-CCC ready to apply innovative approaches and benefit from targeted mentoring. While the current priority is to fill an SLP-CCC role, those with CFY status or SLPA credentials are also encouraged to express interest for future opportunities.

Qualifications:

Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric and school-aged populations
Recent graduates or newer clinicians are highly encouraged to apply
Understanding of inclusion models with mild to moderate caseloads preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Provide speech-language services, including screening, assessment, and intervention, to elementary-aged students in an inclusive setting
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to student needs
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support generalization of skills
Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school policies
Contribute to a supportive atmosphere that fosters student confidence and communication growth
