This is an Hourly position.OverviewPRN - Inpatient/AcuteOur inpatient multidisciplinary team at Little Company of Mary Medical Center evaluates and treats a wide range of patient populations and diagnoses in the metro region. This 274-bed hospital located in Evergreen Park, Il is close to the city while maintaining a community feel. Our team consists of 5 PTs, 2 PTAs, 3 OTs, 3 SLPs and 1 rehab tech. Our collaborative and energetic team provides skilled therapy and goal-based interventions with a focus on decreasing patient length of stay and facilitating discharge planning.POSITION SUMMARY:The Physical Therapist assists patients in the restoration of physical function through evaluation and treatment.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Doctoral degree in Physical TherapyThose licensed after 2016 must have a Doctoral degree. Those who were licensed prior to 2016 are exempt from this requirement as grandfathered under prior IDFPR or MBPT requirement for licensure (which allowed bachelor's/master's degree; the normal industry requirement prior to 2016).Licenses/Certifications:Respective state license in Physical Therapy or has graduated successfully from a professional program, is in receipt of Authorization to Test Letter, is scheduled to test within 60 days of eligibility, and has not failed the licensure exam. After passing licensure exam, state license must be verifiable within one year of hire.CPR certification within 90 days of hireValid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract.Other skills/knowledge:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience as a Physical TherapistDemonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served.Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.Analytical ability to evaluate patients' physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems.Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.OSF Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
