About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Global Privacy Officer to lead the strategic and legal aspects of privacy across its diverse range of audio entertainment and connected services. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the global privacy vision, governance architecture, and risk assessment framework. This role involves overseeing the handling of personal data by business stakeholders and external parties, as well as advising on the processing of employee personal data. The VP, Global Privacy Officer will also be at the forefront of privacy compliance, leading the response to data security incidents, and ensuring that the company's privacy practices align with global privacy laws and regulations. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New York, with a Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school, and have at least 15 years of legal experience, including 8-10 years in direct privacy law. A strong background in US, Canadian, European, and UK privacy laws is essential, as is a Certified Information Privacy Professional-US (CIPP-US) certification. The role requires significant experience in managing a team and a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of global privacy laws, experience in privacy program management, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable requirements. Experience in the IT, web, mobile, and ad-tech ecosystems, particularly in relation to privacy implications, is also a key requirement.
