General Cardiology Locum Opportunity – Pennsylvania

A healthcare organization is seeking a General Cardiologist for a combination of outpatient clinic coverage and inpatient call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be flexible and available to provide coverage for one to two weeks per month.

Compensation: Hourly: $370/hr, Weeknight Call: $495/night, 24-Hour Call: $3,330/day, Call Back: $430/hr.

Schedule

Clinic Week

Monday–Friday

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call Week

Monday 7:00 AM through the following Monday 7:00 AM

Inpatient consults and call coverage

The organization is seeking either:

One full-time locum provider, or

Multiple providers to share coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient Clinic

General cardiology consultations and follow-up care

Approximately 18 patients per day

Inpatient Coverage

Hospital consultations

Cardiology call coverage

Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)

Echocardiography interpretation

Nuclear cardiology testing

Approximately 20 patients per day during hospital weeks

Practice Environment

Combination of hospital and outpatient clinic settings

Academic and teaching opportunities available

Collaborative clinical support team

Support Staff

Medical Assistants in clinic setting

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology

Active Pennsylvania medical license required

DEA required

Active IMLC Letter of Qualification may be considered for expedited credentialing

Must be willing to work flexible clinic and call schedules

Ability to cover one to two weeks per month

Credentialing

Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days

Temporary privileges may be available for qualified providers with a clean file

Ideal Candidate

Comfortable with both outpatient and inpatient cardiology practice

Experienced with TEE, echocardiography, and nuclear testing

Flexible with scheduling needs

Interested in ongoing recurring coverage
