You will be the first and last contact that a client will have with the hospital and a key to creating first and lasting impressions. In this role you must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, ability to handle financial issues, multi-task, a friendly attitude, and confidence to deal with stressful situations is a must. Able to remain calm and effective under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress environments while maintaining compassion, empathy, and understanding. Adaptability and open-mindedness Team player mentality and a friendly disposition Ability to anticipate the needs of veterinarians and paraprofessionals Willingness to grow and adapt Inclination to embrace change and work together to build an optimal solution for Responsibilities: Greet clients and pets by name with a smile and a positive, solution-oriented attitude. Answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system; answer client inquiries about basic animal care and routine procedures and questions about veterinary services and products; and provide knowledgeable advice about wellness, prevention, and diseases. Screen and route call to appropriate staff; take and deliver messages promptly to appropriate staff. Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital scheduling guidelines and make surgery and appointment confirmation calls. Proper documentation in medical records, the details discussed during client conservations include the date, time, critical points of the discussion, and any required information. Ability to explain invoices to show value for care provided, stating all services and products supplied before the total; echo recommendations when checking out clients. Collect payment when services are rendered. Check and ensure accurate client addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses, and scan appropriate new documents into patient records. Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions to clients. Advise clients on flea/tick preventatives, heartworm preventatives, pre-anesthetic testing, pain management, shampoos, home dental products, and other retail items. Interested? Apply Now!
