The proper candidate must have a minimum of (3) years’ machining experience. We are not a high -production company. This is a varied, “job-to-job” role rather than high- production manufacturing. It focuses heavily on manual machines with some CNC operations specifically related to creating and repairing hydraulic components and proto types. The main job requires a Machinist to know internal and external grooving practices or be able to have had that experience in the past and “dust off those skills” as well as single point threading , holding tolerances between .002-.005 thousandths -have knowledge with regards to proper selection of tooling and insert selection working with different materials such as 1026, 1045 and some Stainless Steel. We have the ability to assist-train or ("bring up to speed”) a candidate with a "CAN DO" attitude with some skills but unfortunately, we are not able to train a machinist from scratch.

Core Job Requirements

• Experience : Minimum (3) years of machining experience. We cannot train a complete beginner, but we will help "bring you up to speed" with basic internal / external grooving skills and a great attitude.
• Technical Skills : Must know internal/external grooving, single-point threading, and how to hold tolerances between .002" and .005".
• Materials & Tooling : Knowledge of proper tool/insert selection for materials like 1026 steel, 1045 steel, and stainless steel.
• Equipment Used : Manual Bridgeport lathes, LeBlond Lathe 60, Clausing drill press, manual horizontal mills, bench grinders, planers, and dry blasting machines.
• CNC Knowledge : Helpful but not the main focus. The shop utilizes Fadal and Haas CNC machines.
• Tools : You must own your own precision measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and customer sketches.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and Digital Readouts (DROs).
• Set up and tear down your own projects with minimal supervision.
• Perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, twisting, prolonged standing, and lifting over 25 pounds.
• Knowledge and proper use of PPE is required
• Maintain, clean, and lubricate your assigned machines and workspace.
• Have reliable transportation for a Monday-through-Friday schedule.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
