Property Accountant

Property Accountant King & Bishop is seeking a Property Accountant for our client in Woburn, MA . This position is a key member of the Accounting team and is primarily responsible for supporting the monthly financial reporting and accounting activities for a portfolio of managed properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across departments. This is an on-site position in Woburn, MA , with standard working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties Prepare year-end audit packages and supporting documentation Reconcile and analyze escrow accounts Complete monthly bank reconciliations Prepare and process journal entries Support accounts receivable and cash receipt activities Ensure timely payment of loans, real estate taxes, and insurance bills Monitor and manage cash balances for assigned properties Conduct annual internal property audits Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as needed Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial and property-related issues Maintain accurate and organized financial records Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required 1–2 years of related accounting experience or relevant internship experience preferred General ledger and cash receipts experience preferred Experience with property management or accounting software, such as MRI, is a plus Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Customer service-oriented mindset Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
