Position Overview Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $24.50 – $33.75 per hour (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights This position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus. Nurses with 3+ years of experience receive benefits on every 3rd weekend and every other holiday. Unit Description The Adult C Unit is a 26‑bed structured, therapeutic environment designed to help adults understand their diagnosis, develop a crisis response plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Participates with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient‑centered health care plan. Implements nursing interventions within a patient‑centered health care plan. Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocates for the best interest of the patient. Communicates and collaborates with patients and members of the health care team. Assists with health counseling and teaching. Delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. The individual must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with others, and hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
