This inpatient facility provides cardiovascular services with established clinical protocols to support quality patient care delivery. The institution is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians on an on-site basis and maintains the infrastructure necessary for 24-hour call cardiovascular coverage. APP support is available to assist the assigned clinician throughout the coverage period.
About the Facility LocationMerriam is situated in the Kansas City metropolitan area, offering access to a range of cultural and recreational attractions. Notable destinations in the region include the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, alongside walking tours and distillery experiences. The area supports an active community calendar featuring live music, outdoor concerts, farmers markets, art exhibits, and family-oriented park events, as well as festivals with stage performances, artisan crafts, and street entertainment.
About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians will provide inpatient cardiovascular coverage on a 24-hour call basis, performing on-site rounding and consults throughout the assigned coverage period. Clinical responsibilities include cardiovascular disease management with APP support available during the assignment. Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required for all clinical documentation. Experience with echocardiography, stress testing, EKG, nuclear cardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography is considered an asset.
