Business Unit BAMG - Wilson Management Level Management Job Category Legal, Compliance & Audit Position Summary Leads and coordinates all safety and health related activities for the Wilson, NC facility. Develops and implements a comprehensive safety management system, provides leadership for the line‑driven behavior‑based safety process, and continuously monitors safety systems for improvement opportunities. Leads and directs the Safety team. Employee/Labor Health & Safety Activities Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions. Investigating accidents, liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes and prevent recurrence. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government standards related to employee health and safety. Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies. Responsibilities Manages experienced professionals who exercise independent discretion and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports. Implements policy and strategy for short‑term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures. Decision making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization. Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures. Communicates effectively with executive leadership. Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 3–5 years of management or direct/indirect leadership experience. OR Master’s degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2–4 years of management or direct/indirect leadership experience. Relocation assistance provided with full benefits package.
