Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Weekend Overtime Available
Job Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery
- Set up and complete machine changeovers
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Inspect and troubleshoot transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical components
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability efforts
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, amp meters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters
- Proficiency with electrical hand tools and power tools
- Experience with PLCs and HMIs is a plus
- Familiarity with SOPs, GMPs, and safety procedures is a plus

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmwood Park, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
