Bartender - PT

$1,000 Retention Bonus

The Bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests of the bars and/or restaurants and provides a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere for our guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares order requests from guests or Cocktail Servers.
2. Upsells liquor, suggestive selling specialty and house cocktails, beers and wines.
3. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
4. Serves wine and draft or bottled beer.
5. Comps player drinks in accordance with house rules.
6. Stocks bar with necessary items.
7. Keeps apprised of current specialty drinks, trends, new liquors, beers and wines on property.
8. Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned.
9. Ensures station is cleaned and sanitized
10. Understands and follows all Southern Nevada Health District Regulations
11. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including health, fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Experience bartending in a casino or similar hospitality environment preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Non-Gaming card, Alcohol Awareness Card, and Clark County Health Card required.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


COMPUTER SKILLS

Micros or similar POS software experience preferred.

MACHINERY USED

Blender, beverage gun, cutlery, beverage dispensers, cash register, computer, telephone
