Director of Innovation, Innovative Models & External Partnerships, Global Market Access

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director of Innovation to lead the development and incubation of innovative access and pricing models within its Market Access team. The role involves managing an innovation pipeline, identifying emerging market signals, and building external partnerships to advance new business models, particularly in pharmacy benefit management disruption. This leader will translate concepts into pilot-ready initiatives while supporting governance and executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

Manage innovation pipeline from intake through prioritization, translating external signals into value hypotheses and pilot-ready concepts
Develop and validate new pricing and access models by defining feasibility, success criteria, risks, and stakeholder alignment
Identify and engage external stakeholders including PBMs, consultants, and alternative reimbursement players to inform innovation opportunities
Partner with Intelligence team to convert market signals into actionable innovation opportunities with clear progression tracking
Develop structured inputs for portfolio governance, quarterly steering reviews, and executive decision-making with defined success measures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, MS, PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree preferred
10+ years pharma/healthcare experience in Market Access, Pricing, Commercialization, or related areas
Strong experience with innovative access or pricing models and business model strategy
Deep understanding of market access ecosystem dynamics including PBMs and payer behavior
Proven ability to translate external signals into actionable strategic opportunities
Experience managing or collaborating with external partners and vendors
Strategic thinking skills and ability to structure ambiguous challenges; excellent executive communication

Compensation: $196,160-$237,703 base; additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available
