Accountant

AccountantZiegler Related Companies has an opening for an Accountant. The Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.Responsibilities:Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions for related entitiesEstablish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control proceduresMonitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completenessReconcile various accounts as assignedAssist with various daily and monthly cash activities (e.g. Reconciliations, debt management, etc.)Post general ledger journal entriesMaintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systemsAssist with annual auditWorks in a cooperative manner with team and superiorsResolve accounting discrepanciesSupervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systemsReport to management regarding the finances of establishmentProvide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individualsAnalyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide adviceReconciliation of inter-company accountsQualifications:Bachelor Degree required; accounting, finance or business related preferred3-5 years of related work experienceAttention to Detail, Commitment / Dependability, Integrity, Problem Solving, EfficiencyAdvanced Microsoft skills, specifically Microsoft ExcelMinimum Physical Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearingThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location.
