Position Overview

SpringLeaf Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Toms River, New Jersey. As a Physical Therapist in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility, you will facilitate the recovery process through personalized treatment plans, focusing on orthopedic conditions.

Work Environment

You will work in a supportive, onsite environment alongside a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our collaborative workspace fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and shared learning, allowing you to leverage the strengths of your colleagues as you tackle the challenges presented by each patient's therapy needs. The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient objectives and treatment requirements based on individual conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans designed to enhance mobility and overall function, using evidence-based techniques.
• Manage a minimum caseload efficiently, with approximately one patient per hour, ensuring personalized attention and quality treatment.
• Apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to address pain and improve movement patterns.
• Educate patients and their families on the recovery process, alternative pain management methods, and preventive care strategies.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Document all services and care provided in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. This includes athletes seeking rehabilitation for sports injuries, elderly patients needing help with mobility challenges, and individuals striving to regain strength and functionality after surgical interventions. Your role is essential in motivating and guiding these patients toward their recovery goals by creating tailored fitness and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for advanced degrees such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, with no disciplinary measures on record.
• Proven clinical knowledge and skills in manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating the ability to design and implement effective treatment regimens.
• Expertise in evaluating patient needs and developing individualized treatment approaches.
• Previous history of working with diverse patient populations and an understanding of preventative healthcare strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
