Charge MRI Technologist (Weekend Night Option Pay)

Position Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist (Weekend Option Overnight Shift) at Barnes Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine (St. Louis, MO). Compensation and Schedule Weekend Premium Pay: 50% extra on hourly rate for weekend hours (Combine Base Pay + Weekend premium). Weekend Overnight Shift: 3 days @ 12‑hour shifts, options are Friday / Saturday / Sunday or Saturday / Sunday / Monday (to be determined). No Call. 3 days a week. Required certifications: RT(R), MR, or equivalent. Requirements Associate degree or trade school equivalency (or higher level of education). Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR. 2 years of experience. Experience Experience in roles such as Lead Tech, Charge Tech, Senior Tech, Supervisor, Radiology Department Lead, Chief Technologist, Medical Imaging, ARRT, BD, CI, N, VI, ASRT, MR, MR Radiographer. Role Purpose Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in MRI, CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization for adults and/or pediatric patients, and assist in quality control. Support staff technologists, prioritize and solve patient care or imaging issues, and serve as a resource. Delegate tasks to ensure proper daily operations, assume supervisor responsibilities in their absence, aid in training and mentorship. Responsibilities Prepare patient and equipment for procedures. Perform studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required. Oversee shift operations, including daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjust priorities to meet department needs. Enter or elevate IT and equipment tickets. Serve as the clinical resource and expert for technologists: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring. Act as clinical liaison between the team and supervisor, ensuring proper information is communicated and escalated appropriately. Maintain and order necessary supplies for department needs. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate degree or trade school equivalency. Experience: 2‑5 years. Supervisor Experience: None. Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES. Preferred Requirements Experience: 5‑10 years.
