We’re currently looking for a Tax Senior to work with a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, from sole traders to directors of owner‑managed businesses, with the opportunity to work with larger, more complex clients. Key Responsibilities Preparing Self‑Assessment personal tax returns efficiently and accurately Preparing P11D forms, advising on benefits in kind and preparing PAYE Settlement Agreements Preparing Capital Gains Tax computations and in‑year CGT on UK Property returns. Communicating with colleagues from other departments, clients, and HMRC by telephone, email, and in writing where required Ad‑hoc assistance with tax queries and projects Skills, Knowledge & Expertise ATT qualification (or part-qualified) or qualified by experience Proven experience within a similar role Strong technical expertise in personal tax, partnership tax and Capital Gains Tax Experience in coaching and training junior members of the team Proficiency in CCH is preferred, but not essential as full training and support will be provided Sound tax advisory knowledge in owner‑managed businesses covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax and Company Tax issues would be preferred but is not essential Job Benefits At Sumer, we are committed to fairness, removing barriers and giving people the support they need to do their best work.
