Environmental Health &Safety Coordinator

Environmental Health &Safety Coordinator City: Tacoma State: WA Country/Region: US PABCO Roofing Products is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety, health, and environmental programs while partnering with employees and leaders to foster a strong safety culture throughout the facility. Essential Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain safety and environmental programs and documentation. Assist with employee safety training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives. Maintain employee training records and compliance documentation. Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. Support environmental compliance efforts, including permitting, reporting, inspections, and waste management activities. Assist with emergency preparedness and response programs. Communicate safety expectations and best practices with employees at all levels of the organization. Stay informed of applicable regulatory requirements and support plant compliance efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of related experience in manufacturing, safety, environmental compliance, or a related field preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills. Ability to deliver training and communicate effectively with employees and management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting incident investigations. Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Safety certifications or related training are a plus.
